Jessica and Phil had a fairly large wedding party that supported them through out the day and their pictures reflected that. The outdoor wedding ceremony on the large deck next to the picturesque lake could not have been a better setting, Just before the ceremony we took many images which included the first look then many bridal party shots. After the ceremony we had time for family pictures then took a ride with Jessica & Phil to a bridge on another part of the golf course where we got some nice intimate pictures on the bride.

We then got back in time so the couple could enjoy the cocktail hour with fiends and family. Soon after the entrance of the bridal party the couple had their dances with each other and their parents. 

Next, came the dinner where the main course consisted of Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon. 

Finally the party really go going with major participation in dancing and fun florescence rings which were a hit with everyone especially the kids. 

As the dancing went on for a number of hours the enthusiasm and fun up for the rest of the time.

I would say that Jessica & Phil had a great wedding day to remember.

From there we went to the Ocean House for more formal pictures where everyone had a good time making for some great shots. 

Then we all went to the Weekapaug Golf Club for the Ceremony and Reception.

The Ceremony was a tear jerker, lots of emotion.  The cocktail hour was accompanied with music by a talented guitarist. The entrance and first dance made for some great shots with some tears here and there going on, especially with the parent dances. Finally the toasts brought on many laughs, hugs and tears. 

The dinner was superb, a buffet with many seafood and meat choices.

Finally, open dancing was very lively with a great DJ and crowd. 

I can honestly say everyone was great to work with especially Annelise and Nate,, Congratulations!

The venue was bright and airy for both the reception and her get ready suite. The rustic look and the hanging lace made for many photo ops.

We started at the Bristol Inn for getting ready pictures. The entire upstairs sweet was used that had a huge bedroom with great light and mirrors which made for some interesting shots. Next the ceremony was held at St Mary's Church on wood street Bristol which was impressive. After the ceremony we took a number of pictures in front of the church on the massive steps. Then on to Linden Place Museum nearby which had amazing rooms and backdrops with a circular staircase. My wish that the upper part of the staircase could have been used too since it would have have been really impressive shooting up the two flights. We mostly used the interior rooms where we found an antique lounge where some stunning images of Ashton were created. There is a curved window which made for great natural light and framed Ashton and Mat..

Off to the seaside park for some nice family and bridal party shots.

From there we made our way to The Towers in Narragansett. The weather was perfect for the cocktail hour outside which made for lots of nice candids.

After the entrance and first dance the toasts were emotional especially from Ashton's father. I think I caught much of those moments on stills and some video.

All I can say from my perspective was the the Couple was gorgeous, the locations were awesome for pictures.

They both had a lot of fun, especially frolicking at the waters edge. When the sun went behind the clouds there was some nice rays coming through which made for some stunning backdrops and semi silhouette shots.

Engagement Session at Weekapaug Beach RI

So after a few conversations we came up with a plan and I think from the following images you will see that it went very well. Emily had no clue what was going on. I have never seen so much real emotion and joy coming from the two of them. I feel privileged to be there to Capture the Moment!

The couple showed lots of affection and looked great and Jack reflected that with his constant smile thought out the day.

Monique's dog stole the show in many of the pictures. 

The food provided by Shelter Harbor Catering was outstanding as usual and the live band completed the nights entertainment. 

Jack's son got up and jammed with the band for a couple of songs playing a mean electric guitar,, very impressive.

Next we headed to the Fenway Beach where it was planned for the First Look to take place. I had Matt stand facing the ocean on a board walk waiting for Sarah to come. That turned for some really nice pictures along with others, just the two of them before the rest of the family and bridal party came.

Everyone had a good time as we took pictures on the boardwalk and then on the beach.

From there it was to the venue, Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington for the ceremony and reception.

The outside ceremony setting in the vineyard went off beautifully with a lot of emotion shown by Sarah and Matt.

After the ceremony it was cocktails in the Vineyard's main bar and reception room then it was off to the large tent for the reception.

The setting is very picturesque with the moonlit sky but inside everyone was warm and cozy while enjoying the buffet and dancing.

The bride started her day getting ready at her parents home near Weekapaug. As you can see from the photos she looked exquisite along with her brides' maids. The ceremony was held at the Watch Hill Chapel across from the Ocean House. From there the bridal party made a quick trip back to the parent's house to get a few pictures with their family pet, a golden retriever. Then it was on to Jonathan Edwards Winery in Stonington CT for the reception.

The Vineyard has been the go to place for wedding venues for a number of years now and they did not disappoint. They kindly had the netting removed on a section of the vineyard so as not to take away from the setting and for pictures.

Everything was perfection,  from the flowers, the food, the live band and what really stole the show what Nicole's grandfather singing a couple of songs near the end of the night.

They are planning a destination wedding at a resort in the Dominican.

Photography and the lighting is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.. I hope my next shoot there will have the same results.

Lynn and Harliin had a small intimate family wedding that turned out extremely well. From the classic car to the seashore style wedding and finished off with some sunset pictures. What else could you ask for?

Here are just a few pictures to get a taste of the event.

Caitlin and Ryan certainly had a fine weekend to enjoy the ambiance of the Ocean House and scenic Watch Hill for their engagement get away.

They preferred more traditional posed pictures but we managed a few artistic styled.

So now enters Marel & Andrew's wedding. 

The Ceremony and reception was held at the Glen Manor House Portsmouth RI, one of my favorite venues.

The following is just a smattering of images of the many I captured, many on the normal side but others well, you be the judge as I make notes on them.

So the above image is just getting them warmed up for the next picture. To capture a something different group picture, have you ever thought about re-acting the West Side Story Rumble scene with real knives?  

The Bride and Groom did survive to get married later, whew!

The window shots were awesome too.

So traditionally after the first dance it's expected to have the toasts for about 30 minutes or so and you hope that there might be a few good laughs in there some where, but wait, how about having a couple of friends come and do their Burlesque Routine in their skimpy outfits instead? This is absolutely guaranteed to be different. It did raise a few eyebrows too!

Ok say so let's say you happen to have a couple of friends who will do this dance routine for you, great, so that should have topped off the "let's be different list", right? Nope.

Next up is the Father Daughter dance, now look close to who is invited to see it!

Well a few others happened in, but it was mainly a private affair, how cool was that?

We have a great, nice family beach here in Westerly. Lots of families and their children, which over the years we got to know many fairly well.

My wife and I do not have any children but over the years we have had the opportunity to help bring up a couple while helping out our friends which has been a pleasure. So we do enjoy the kids a lot.

So there is something special about catching those fun moments of the children while they are young, since they do grow up so fast. So I decided to grab some shots of our local brood, while they were at the business of doing what they, The Town Beach Kids do best. I hope you enjoy some of these pictures as much as I do.

So I don't just focus on Weddings, but I am also available for Family and Seniors location portraits.
